Our Suppliers Who said planning a wedding is easy? Well, it isn't! Especially if it's your own wedding!
For us, it's a big novel and we're the authors of this best selling title. Don't get us wrong! We're not complaining! In fact, we're enjoying every moment of it. It may be tiring and frustrating at times but we make sure that we don't take the FUN out of it.

NotesAfter having a wedding date checked by a Feng Shui expert (it's a chinese thing), G and I immediately assigned responsibilities to each other. I'll take care of the reception venue and he'll take care of looking for a church. Since we know that it usually requires 1 year of planning (we only have around 7 months) and reservations to good hotels, we didn't keep our hopes too high in finding a good hotel. True enough, I've called all of the hotels in Manila and they're all fully booked! Well, The Peninsula Manila wasn't an exception. When I called, they were temporarily booked and we were 8th in the list. Well, what the heck, I just told the person I talked to to just list us. Told G about it and it will be a miracle from God if we get the booking. After 10 minutes, Christine Macaraig (Mac) called me again. They cleared up the list and we're now on top of the list (I guess other couples just booked with another hotel)! Talk about miracles! That's one of the reasons why I believe that this marriage is a match made in heaven. :) More Information

NotesSecond thing we accomplished for our wedding. :) Checked all the churches in our list and San Jose was one of it. Again, all of them are booked! San Jose has only one wedding on Sundays. That's at 2:30pm. And yes, that slot is booked already. How did we get a slot? My mom called her friend who lives in the village. They made a special arrangement to open a 4:00pm wedding slot for G and I. And God knows why, they did! We immediately went to the church and paid our reservation fee. NotesWe've worked as coordinators for some weddings and Charlie was one of the photographers we've worked with. After seeing how Charlie worked, G and I told ourselves that one day, when we plan to get married, we can get Charlie for our photo-video requirements (if the budget permits!). So when we started planning our wedding, Charlie was the third supplier we met up with (the first two were for church and reception venues, haha!) After talking to Charlie, we were more than decided that he's really the one for us. The package was good and we're happy with what Charlie showed us in his showroom. So, just like other couples, we checked out other photo/video suppliers just to have some point of comparison. After all the other meetings, we've decided that nothing compares to any of the photos we've seen done by Charlie and his team. We hope that we'll get the same results. NotesEvents Manila - a name I thought of for our events team way back in 2001. Rowena (Weng) asked permission from me for her to use it as her company name (from Ever After) and I immediately allowed her to use it. No problem!
From the day we met way back in 2001, I know that when I get married, she'll be my coordinator. True enough! She wasn't hired, it's just automatic and understood that she'll be my coordinator even way before I had a wedding date in mind. She's one of the very first persons whom I informed of my wedding date. I had to make sure that she's available and she blocks it off for me. I won't settle for anyone else! :) More Information
HOST - Max Tiu
Same as Rowena Garcia of Events Manila, we never had second thoughts of getting Max as our reception host. Who else can do a better job than him? No one! He's multi-lingual, he sings and he's presentable. What more can you ask for? I've seen Max work in a lot of events I've had and I've always looked up on him on his hosting skills. He knows how to grab the attention of his audience without being too noisy (chinese speaking hosts tend to be noisy and annoying, but definitely not Max) and annoying. He's the best there is in the industry! Again, I won't settle for anyone else! I'd die if we weren't able to book him for our wedding. More Information

NotesOne of the best cake artist we know. We're lucky she's our friend. :) It's so hard to look for a cake supplier since we know that the cake is one of the highlights of a wedding. They have the most enchanting voices G and I ever heard. Once they start singing, G and I get goosebumps all over! We simply love them! We're sure that they'd bring beautiful music to us and everyone else on our special day. Our wedding won't be complete without them. :) More Information
LIGHTS AND SOUNDS - Forsc Ink
I heard they're one of the best providers of Lights and Sounds in the industry today. I'm just glad I was able to work with Philip in one of the events I had before. So talking to him and finally getting him for our wedding wasn't a hard task. Everything was settled through SMS. I just gave him a call to finalize everything. I'm really impressed on how they work and how everything's set up. I'm just glad they work well with Jun Hen and 92AD. Again, another great supplier in our list. :D More Information

NotesI've heard so much about Tet through W@W that's why I told myself, I just have to meet her. I went to her shop alone and after the meeting, I'm quite convinced that she's the one. Just to make sure, I had to set another meeting with her so I can bring along G. True enough, she won G's heart as well. G's super meticulous about anything and everything. So for G to get involved and to discuss what he wants on our gowns is a big deal (he was quiet during our other meetings with other gown makers). That was the time when I told myself, Tet is the one. True enough, after the meeting, G said that he's happy with Tet. It's all up to me if I want Tet to be my gown maker. Well, Tet it is! More Information

NotesVanessa was introduced to me by my former officemate, Judy. That was early 2005 when Judy was also planning for her wedding. I don't have plans yet of getting married. But I said to myself, I'll get in touch with her when it's time for me to get an invitation supplier. :) -- I later discovered that G knows Vane from college. Small world!
So when G and I started planning for our wedding, I got in touch with Vane immediately. She's one of the sweetest girl I know. She's always smiling and so eager to help out. Anyway, I was the only one who met up with Vane for the initial meeting. She showed me her samples and paper swatches. I fell in love immediately with one of her samples and asked for a proposal (along with my 2nd, 3rd and 4th choices).
After 2 months, G and I decided to finalize the invitation.. and yes, with Charles Morgan. They were the only ones who gave us the best price with the best quality and design. Oh! And yes, G also likes the same design i chose... my first choice. :)
Can't wait to see the mock up after we submit all the details to them. :D Another stress-free supplier in our list! More Information

HAIR & MAKE-UP - Gela Laurel
I had my trial make-up with Gela Laurel last February 25. She asked me what look at want, my usual answer, the blushing bride look... the no make up look but will with enough color. :) I'm glad she understood what I meant because as usual, it's a vague answer. Haha!
Well, G and I were happy with the outcome. Really simple and the make up wasn't heavy on the face.
Gela is suuuuuper nice and she really has light hands. She works pretty fast too!

NotesI found these shoes by accident! :D I was just going around Megamall and I thought of dropping by SCHU. I love visiting their shops (Mega, Glorietta and Galleria)! Their sales ladies are super nice and they don't seem to mind (I hope!) that I'm there often trying on their shoes. Haha! I think in one of their branches, the saleslady already recognizes me (as the girl who keeps on trying their shoes on but seldom buys, haha!)
Anyway, I saw these shiny pair of shoes and tried them on. They're a perfect fit (and the perfect height!) and really comfortable! :)
Well, enough said, I bought them right away! :)
PS. I liked them so much, I got another pair in black. Haha!

NotesOf course I didn't want to walk down the aisle with a pair of shoes not matching the cloth of my gown. Haha! So even if I love the shiny material of my shoes from Schu, I just have to have it wrapped in my gown material!
So, I brought my shoes to Shoe Care! Thanks to Cie for this referral. They really did a great job! Even G was amazed on how they did it!
